Dough:
3/4 cup milk
2 tsp instant yeast (https://amzn.to/3BERKRI)
1/4 cup sugar
4 tbsp margarine, melted
1 egg
2 3/4 cup flour
Filling:
5 tbsp margarine
1 cup brown sugar (https://amzn.to/4dJypMq)
3 tbsp cinnamon (https://amzn.to/405rCcG)
Icing:
1 1/4 cup icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla (https://amzn.to/3BKfkwn)
2 tbsp milk
Warm the milk in the microwave until lukewarm. Whisk in 1 tsp sugar and the yeast. Cover with a towel and let sit for about 10 minutes. The yeast will dissolve and foam. Beat in sugar, salt, margarine, egg, and 2 cups of flour. Add the remaining flour 1/4 cup at a time until the dough is no longer too sticky.
Place on a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes. Add small amounts of flour if the dough gets sticky. Set aside and let rest for about 10 minutes.
Line your slow cooker (https://amzn.to/403fEQN) with parchment paper and spray with no stick spray.
Roll the dough out into a large circle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread margarine over the entire circle. Sprinkle with brown sugar and then sprinkle cinnamon over top. Roll the dough into a long roll and cut into slices about 2 inches wide. Place them into the slow cooker and cook on high for 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
Mix the icing ingredients together adding more icing sugar if too thin. Once the cinnamon buns are cooked, remove from the slow cooker and cover with icing. Enjoy!!
