1 1/2 cups water

1 tsp cinnamon (https://amzn.to/4bSLFhD)

1 tsp vanilla (https://amzn.to/3VoIIys)

1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar


Pour all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and cook for 3 minutes.


I know this is a simple recipe, but it is healthier than the packages of instant oatmeal with no preservatives. This is ready in the same amount of time as the instant packages and you can add your own flavors. It is MUCH less expensive as well.


Apples and cinnamon...add some applesauce

Cookies and cream.....add some crunched up sandwich cookies

Add raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, or cherries if they are ready in your garden (or going bad in your fridge!!). The options are endless!!!
