My reasons for creating this site

This site will help you find recipes (for food and craft ideas) that are simple to follow and use every last bit of your leftovers!! Times are tough and any way to save money is a good way. Most recipes will use basic ingredients that you already have in your cupboards.

Some recipes were from my grandma (who lived through the depression) and some were mine from being a single mom of three kids with little money. They are all delicious and not super time consuming to prepare. Time is valuable and there are more important things to do than cook all day!!

I am hoping to post a few more recipes every week. I have my daughter and my grandbaby over to help me cook a few times a week and then I send them home with some of the food. I work full time and my daughter is a busy mom, but we enjoy this time together. Involve your kids or grandkids with the process. It will teach them how to cook as well as having some quality time. Cooking is always more fun when you do it as a family!!!!
