Easy Potato side dish

5-6 potatoes

2 cups grated or sliced swiss cheese

1 cup grated cheddar

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper (https://amzn.to/3Qf03Yl)

1/2 tsp garlic powder (https://amzn.to/4gCrl5J)

3 tbsp margarine

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream


Peel and thinly slice the potatoes. Melt the margarine in a saucepan and add the garlic. Let simmer for a few minutes. In a greased casserole dish (https://amzn.to/4hUoQN1), place a layer of the sliced potatoes. Top with 1/2 of the swiss cheese and half of the cheddar. Add another layer of potatoes. Sprinkle with the spices, pour the melted margarine over top as well as the heavy cream. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake at 350 for 40 - 50 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through.
