2 cups split peas (https://amzn.to/48hIzmu)
4 cups chicken broth https://amzn.to/4f7VOYR
1 ham bone or 1 cup chopped ham
2 stalks of celery
2 carrots
1/2 onion
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp roasted garlic seasoning (https://amzn.to/4faPSyp)
1 tsp steak spice
1 tsp garlic powder (https://amzn.to/48aTiPv)
1/2 tsp salt (https://amzn.to/3BPaazj)
1/2 tsp pepper (https://amzn.to/4f4V3k1)
Combine all ingredients into the crock pot (https://amzn.to/3Ug5NTU) making sure there is enough chicken stock to cover everything. Cook on high for 5 - 6 hours. Remove the ham bone from the soup. Cut the ham off the bone and add back to the soup. Enjoy!!
The split peas will break down and thicken the soup and more chicken stock may need to be added once it starts to cool to thin it down.
This can be frozen for later use. I freeze it in individual serving size containers (https://amzn.to/4eUXh5d). Just add more chicken stock and heat up on the stove for a quick dinner!
