1/2 cup margarine, softened

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla (https://amzn.to/4e1oxh5)

1/3 cup cocoa (https://amzn.to/4fiGJUr)

1/2 cup flour

1/4 tsp baking powder (https://amzn.to/3UnmNbd)

Top Cookie Layer:

1/2 cup margarine

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed (https://amzn.to/3Yo7Dn2)

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp baking soda (https://amzn.to/40eVNyj)

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup chocolate chips (https://amzn.to/4hnaLZ2)

Bottom layer:

Cream together the margarine and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well. In a separate bowl mix together the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Mix well and then add to the sugar mixture stirring until just blended. Spread evenly into a greased 9 x 13 pan (https://amzn.to/4eWmb4h) and set aside.

Top Cookie Layer:

Cream together the margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well. In a separate bowl (https://amzn.to/3ND3siv) mix together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture until just combined. Mix in the chocolate chips.

Place spoonfuls of the cookie batter on top of the brownie base and spread as evenly as possible covering as much of the bottom layer as you can. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes until edges are slightly golden brown. Allow to cool completely, cut into squares, and enjoy!!
