2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups margarine
1 1/2 cups cocoa (https://amzn.to/4b123eE)
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
4 tsp vanilla (https://amzn.to/4en09b9)
In a mixing bowl, blend together flour and baking powder.
In a large saucepan (https://amzn.to/3xgAHTZ) melt the margarine. Remove from heat and mix in the cocoa. Once the cocoa is blended, add the sugar eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Pour the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture and mix until blended. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan (https://amzn.to/4edXXme). Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until cooked to your desired consistency. I like then chewy, so a toothpick inserted still has a little brownie batter on it!!
Notes:
You can add chocolate chips (https://amzn.to/3KJ8OHo) or nuts (https://amzn.to/3VqsX9Yto) the brownies as well if you would like.
We have a tree nut allergy in the family, so it's been a long time since I baked with nuts!!
These are great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
