Cheeseburger Pie

1 lb ground beef (or chicken or turkey)

3/4 onion, chopped

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1/2 cup spinach (cooked and chopped, or frozen and thawed)

1/2 cup chopped tomatoes

1 tsp garlic powder (https://amzn.to/3Mj0peo)

1 tsp red pepper seasoning (https://amzn.to/46YTvEX)

1 tsp montreal steak spice (https://amzn.to/46Z3BW9)

1 tsp garlic seasoning (https://amzn.to/3WTwmyZ)

4 large dill pickles, diced

1 1/2 tbsp yellow mustard (https://amzn.to/3WZO2ZI)

1 1/2 tbsp ketchup

1 1/2 cups grated cheese


1 cup Bisquick mix (https://amzn.to/3AB9hJQ)

1 tsp vegetable oil

3/4 cup milk


Fry the ground beef in a large skillet (https://amzn.to/3XdFVdf) with the peppers and onions. add the seasonings and mix well. add the spinach and tomatoes. Stir in the diced pickles, mustard and ketchup. Remove from heat add the grated cheese.


In a bowl (https://amzn.to/46VJhF8), mix together the Bisquick, oil, and milk.


In a casserole dish, pour the ground meat mixture. Pour the bisquick mixture over the top. Bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes until the 'bun' is baked through.


Tastes just like a burger. Enjoy!!


*I used ground chicken and frozen spinach. The tomatoes I used were also chopped and frozen and you can used canned ones as well if you prefer.
